Christoffer Relander Collects Landscapes In Jars Using Analog Double Exposures

In his project, Christoffer Relander has realized a childish dream. He plays with the idea of being an ambitious collector; conserving his environments into a large personal collection. Most landscapes are from where he grew up, in the countryside in the south of Finland, where his roots still lie. Separation anxiety to his childhood is simply what absorbed him into this project.

With analog multiple exposures he is able to manipulate his photographs in-camera. This project was not created or manipulated in an external software such as Photoshop. All multiple exposures are shot on medium format film that he develops. He prints pigment prints on museum quality paper, these are available in limited editions.

Jarred & Displaced is an ongoing project, this is his first installment.
